We had Kindergarten round up last Friday. I was very surprised they had us leave without the boys. I didn't totally like that but it was fine. Testing the kids without the parent influence isn't a bad idea I just we had been warned before hand. I wouldn't have taken the whole afternoon off work. But they enjoyed themselves.
I CANNOT BELIEVE MY BABIES ARE GOING TO BE IN KINDERGARTEN
I just want to cry. Where did my babies go. Oh, and the smart mouths and potty talk they've picked up at school. Lordy, it's awful. We had to remind the boys to act like David and Matthew not like the other kids at school. I mean it's not extreme but still... very annoying. I know it only get's worse.
Then poor David woke up during the night with a 102' degree fever. I gave him some tylenol and when he woke up in the mornin... excuse me... when I woke him up the next morning it was still 100' and since the pedatrician is open until noon on Satruday for sick kids I called them. We were the last appointment. I told them "when you ask him what feels yucky he touches his throat". They took him to weight him.... 34lbs. When we got back in the room they were ready to swabb him. Strep Throat. So guess what... they decided to swab Matthew, they weighted him... 40lbs. Then I heard them say to the doctor "Two positives on room four". That's us... two cases of strep. Awesome.... NOT
Luckily for Matthew they caught it early enough that he had no clue he was sick but she said my Monday he would have been feeling sick. So antibiotics for both boys. Chewable... much easier then trying to get them to take liquid. That's like trying to give a cat a bath.
So that's where we are at. Summer vacation is almost here, not sure yet what we are going to do with the boys all summer. I have a few ideas that I need to make some calls on. I'm excited for Kindergarten next year but sad.
