Thinking...

Today sucked major donkey balls.  Paul snored so loud in my ear all night.  I hardly slept, makes for an angry wife.  I know it's not his fault, he doesn't know he's doing it but I spent all night shoving him.  I figured if I wasn't getting any sleep neither was he.  Then I was PO'd about a few other things.

Then tonight I came across this blog http://sadandchara.blogspot.com/ again.  Chad lost his pregnant wife and unborn daughter in a bad car accident this last winter.  They live in a city south of me.  I guess they had tried for quite a few years to get pregnant.  This was their first child, a girl and Sara was only a month from her due date.  They were hit by a semi.  I 'think' Chad was in the car too, if so he wasn't hurt very bad but Sarah was hurt BAD.  They kept her alive long enough to do an emergency C-section in the ER to try and save baby Miranda.  She didn't make it.  So now Chad is left without his wife or child.

I read his blog again.  I did right after the accident but lost the link to it.  I came across it again.  He writes letters to his wife sometimes daily.  Reading them makes me realize again how much I love my husband and kids.  How much I would be lost without them.  Why I am still very irritated with the snoring and my children lack of ability to act decent in public, and the lack of the ability to listen it doesn't make it seem so bad.

I pray for him to find peace and the strength to move on.

WE ARE IN!!!

The got into Windemere Park Charter Academy!!!

I was so excited I cried!  Of course we had to have one person try to smash our happiness.  If you read Paul's facebook you'll know who.  She deleted me from hers before I even knew what was going on.  Some people don't see good in anything and they are not worth my energy.  I have no idea why she did that.  I sent her a message but the one she responded with was so long I didn't even read it.

But yay!!!  I am so excited to finally know what is going on with the boys next school year.  Now I've got a ton of paperwork to fill out and take in, and I've got to start looking for school uniforms.  Anyone have any size 4T and 5T plain polo shirts, and dress pants they'd like to get rid of?

Ok, more crossing

So I got a call from the school saying they opened another kindergarten class for next fall.  So now the chances of us getting in are much greater!!!  I should know this week.

Keep your fingers crossed

The boys did NOT get into the Charter school... yet.

Yes I am quite upset about it.  I know I was one of the first ones to register online because I checked the website almost every day waiting for them to open it.  I do understand that siblings have preference but still.  They held a "lottery".  I got a call today David is in 8th and Matthew is like in 16th on the waiting list.  WTF is up with that?  The lady the phone was kinda rude to me when I asked if I could switch the boys around because of David not being ready for kindergarten.    She did tell me that the acceptance packets went out on Monday and they have two weeks to turn them in or they are dropped.  Then kindergarten round up is the end of may.  If they don't show up to that they get dropped.  She said the chances of them getting in for next fall are really good.  Because once David get's in then Matthew will get priority so it's like they are 8 and 9 instead of 8 and 16 if that makes any sense.

I asked her about Young Fives or Developmental Kindergarten.  She said that they are not having that but they are having all day Kindergarten which will benefit the ones that are not quite ready, because of the full day they are not so pressed for time and can work with the slower ones more.  So I am ok with putting David in that.

So I guess when I drop Matthew off at pre-school tomorrow I will ask the teacher about Kindergarten enrollment forms for where he's at now just in case.

This really sucks.

What to do?

Matthew had the pin taken out of his finger on Wednesday. He was put under for maybe five minuets. The doctor told me if he had known it was sticking out the tip of the finger he would have just done it in the doctor’s office. I was NOT happy. See, Paul called them and they told us he’d just have to wait. I told the doctor this and he gave me a funny look and then didn’t say anything. I however am NOT happy.

We had conference with David’s teacher. David is NOT going to be ready for kindergarten next year but… he will still be able to go to the preschool he goes to right now. Problem… it’s only half day and we are to the point where it’s becoming an issue. Especially with Paul working 3rd shift. He’s been having a hard time staying awake to get David on the bus. I’m not sure yet weather we got into the charter school, there was talk of them not having a young fives this next year. But if they do I think we are going to put David in that because it’s more of an advanced preschool. Hoping that will catch him up. I just don’t see where his current preschool is doing him any good. Matthew has learned to write his name, David has no clue. I swear they are more worried about his physical development then his learning. I mean… I don’t care if the kid cannot jump two footed. He won’t need to do that to graduate so please worry about his writing and alphabet please.

I don’t want him to go back to Sheridan Rd next year but I don’t want to force him in Kindergarten.

I don’t know what to do.
