Disney Wish Trip Day One

It first started out with a 3:45 alarm clock.  The limo was supposed to be here to pick us up at 4:30.  But 4am there was a knock on the door.  The guy was a half hour early.  Luckily EVERYTHING was packed, and I had showered the night before.  I just threw some snack stuff in for us to eat and we'd get breakfast in Detroit.

We first flew from Flint to Detroit.  The boys LOVED their first flight.  Matthew kept looking out the window saying "It Looks like a model".

We flew from Detroit to Orlando.  I was nervous as to where we would find out greeter since it was SUPER BUSY in the Orlando airport.  Then we saw it...

They took us down to baggage and then to get our rental car.  Paul got us upgraded' to a nice ford explorer. I'd been fine with what we were supposed to have but this car was NICE.  We found the village and checked in.  They gave us a little rundown then showed us to our villa.

We unloaded the car and I unpacked clothes, put them the the dresser.  We were STARVING so I decided to order lunch.  There was an orientation meeting one parent had to go to.  I decided to let Paul go to the meeting and I took the boys to the awesome pool.

Who would have thought... November 4th and we are SWIMMING.... OUTSIDE!!!
I was in HEAVEN... Palm trees, warm breeze, island music playing.  I could have laid there all week.

After the swim we went back to our villa so Paul could go over all the info with me.  All our meals at the village were free.  Breakfast and Dinner was at the Gingerbread house sponsored by Perkins and it was acutally very tasty.  Lunch was at Katie's Kitchen and it was Boston Market food.  YUM!

Since we had a late lunch we headed out to put David's name on his star.  Every wish child that comes to the village get's a star, they put their name or whatever they want on it, and it's hung in the castle of miracles.

Then we woke the owl in the tree and the boys each got a pillow.

The boys saw this slug on top of a mushroom outside of the Castle of Miracles.  He became their friend and everytime we walked by David would say 'There he is'.

Then we tried the Dino putt... we only got to the 3rd hole and the dino scared the boys so that was it... no more dino putt for us.

The boys found the model train set in Amberville.

Then we finally had dinner.  Ms. Mary saw us at our table.

After dinner we called it a night because we were getting up early to head to the Magic Kingdom.
